Can you tell... I love snow pictures!!! I was talking to my twin this afternoon and we both brought up one of our favorite snow playing memories as kids. We both had the same one. As I was building a snowman with Kendyl and assisting with the snow fort, I remembered a Christmas when it actually snowed. My sister, our cousin, Ryan and I spent hours and hours using cardboard boxes and building a fort. I remember having to bring our clothes into the dryer to get them dried off and then we would head right back outside. I hope our kids can remember these days with fondness as I have.

I love the snow!!! I don't like driving in it, but we love to play in it! We had our neighbor friend and Kaeden's best friend with us. Our very close family friends Amy and her two boys met us at the park to go sledding. It was Landon and Caleb's first time sledding. They were a little hesitant at first, but once they started they didn't want to stop. I just love how the kids enjoy the snow and can just have fun!

Getting Outside

We haven't been that good about getting outside lately. We came home after church, had lunch and then headed up to the new high school in town and played on their new turf field. We had a great time playing. Shawn and I are trying teach our older two that we can play and have fun and someone doesn't always have to "win" all of the time. They get their competitive nature from both of us.

We headed East of the mountains this past week to go camping. We camped 3 nights in Moses Lake and then we traveled a little under 3 more hours to Newport, WA and camped for an addition 3 more nights. We were about an hour from the Silverwood Theme Park. We decided to buy the 2 day pass, which was a good thing because we spent a whole day at the water park and an entire day at the amusement park!!!! We had so much fun!!! My kids are not afraid of any of the rides, unlike their mother -ha! I was able to get a few pictures from our water day.

Kaeden ran into his old football teammate and hung out with him for a couple hours at the park!

Ice Caves

Today was a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest!!!!! We went up to the Ice Caves with our best friends! Kaeden's best friend joined us too! The sun was warm and at the end of our little excursion, the kids played in the river. Some of the kids found clay in the river and rubbed it on their faces and arms!

Seaside

We went camping this past week to Seaside, OR. I have never been there that I can remember. We spent our time on the beach - Seaside and Cannon Beach. One day we headed to Astoria, OR and toured their adorable downtown market and enjoyed a historic trolley ride! I can't say enough about the memories we created and the quality time we spent as a family!

Our first camping trip every summer is with my parents. This year, our good family friends came along too. We spent the days on the river fishing - lots of fishing!!, playing in the water, the kids played on a huge field for hours on end and just relaxed! We also end out trip stopping at Deception Falls on the west side of Stevens Pass. The last picture are at the falls!

Mariners Game and Train Ride

We had a great family day today. Shawn loves the Yankees! He is from CT and grew up watching them and is a huge fan. We were given two tickets to todays game and decided to make it a family day. We purchased 3 more tickets late last week, bought the Sounder Train tickets and headed out to Seattle this morning. The Sounder was a great way to get into Seattle and not have to worry about parking, traffic, etc. It was the first train ride for Kaeden and Kenna. They were thrilled with the whole idea. The 2 tickets Shawn and Kaeden mostly enjoyed were right next to the Yankee dugout -right next to all of the players. The girls and I were able to watch down at their seats for an inning each, so I got 2 innings next to Jeter and A-Rod! I even got a ball tossed up into the stands. The first for me!

Kelsey is carrying my niece/nephew (they are going to be surprised) very high, just like I did with my 3. You cannot tell from behind she is pregnant, until she turns!!!!

There should be a baby within 5 days, possibly sooner if her baby decides to come sooner! Please be in prayer for her c-section, the birth, and the rest of her family!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday. We went to church and then came home to host an Easter dinner with our family. We ended up being able to have a sit down dinner for 20. We did a little mini egg hunt for the little ones. We really enjoyed having the family over to our house.

I started couponing in September. It took me awhile to get the hang of it and I am still figuring out all the ins and outs. I get coupon thrills! My sister is now joining the couponing world. It's fun to share our exciting cheap deals!
I went to Albertsons today and they had their doubler coupons. I was able to get the doubler coupons from wonderful family and friends that don't coupon - THANK YOU!!!!

I look forward to going to my uncle Mike & Aunt Viv's house every Christmas Eve. The food is so good. There are so many different types of appetizers, I don't know what to do with myself. If anyone really knows me, they know I love dips/appetizers/hour devours!!!! I cannot believe I didn't take a pictures of the table with all of them on there. On top of all of the appetizers, they also serve a huge meal -ugh! I get so full, I can't even move an hour into the night.

I feel bad, I didn't get pictures of everyone! All of my mom's siblings and some of their kids were all there!

One of my favorite people to be around, is my cousin Lisa (a.k.a. Boo). She is currently a senior up at Western and has so many talents. She is kind, loving, smiles all of the time and I just love her. We were able to spend some time with her on Thursday and Christmas Eve. I am about 8 years older than she is. When we were growing up, my sister and I loved to help take care of her. My favorite memory is swimming with her and she was always so happy that she would drink half the pool because she smiled so much.

Pumpkin Patch - BEAUTIFUL DAY!

Kendyl's preschool, also where I work, headed to the pumpkin patch this morning! It was an unusually warm day. It was so nice that I pulled Kaeden and Kenna out of school an hour early today and brought all three of them to the pumpkin patch. We had a great time searching for the perfect pumpkin. There seemed to be so many perfect pumpkins this year, it was hard to choose!

Our last camping trip

For our last camping trip this summer we headed east of the mountains to sun! We were supposed to stay in Western Washington, but the forecast made us change our minds. We were camping about an hour and half away from the Lake Chelan Waterslides, so we went there for the day. The kids had a blast. I hadn't been there since I was a kid. It was great because Kendyl was tall enough and not scared, so she went on all of the rides. We were able to do them as a family and didn't have to split up. We were about 30 minutes from Leavenworth, so we ventured into town and enjoyed the shops and ice cream.

Labor Day Fun!

On Saturday of the Labor Day Weekend, we were invited up to a friend parents house on a lake. We had the best time! I went tubing for the first time since I was about 13. I held on for dear life, but finally had to let go because I couldn't hold on any longer.

Kendyl is going to be my little evangelist. She loves to sing about God and Jesus. I ask her if she made up the songs or if she has heard them before and she tells me that she has heard them before. So, thinking maybe they are from church, I ask where again and she tells me that they are in her head and she has sung them in her head before.

I was in the bathroom listening to her take a shower and this was her song in a cute little out of tune voice:

" I love Jesus and God. Jesus died, but he is alive in heaven. Jesus and God are in my heart. I listen to God. I say, may I please have that toy, that's what I say. Hallelujah. I like to listen to God."

I can't quite remember all of the words because it went on for about 10 minutes.

Another out of the mouth of Kendyl:

The girls spent the night with my parents on Friday night. I picked up the girls and we were driving in the car talking about where they slept. Whether they slept in their own beds or with Grammers (my dad will sleep in the guest bedroom when the girls sleep with my mom). Kenna said she started out in her own bed, but got scared and went into grammer's bed. Kendyl casually said that she doesn't get scared because she knows God and Jesus are always with her.

We had Kendyl's preschool graduation program on Thursday night. The kids did great! Shawn had to work, so Kenna had to do the video camera and Kelsey had to try and get pictures while watching her kids. I am blessed to work at such a wonderful preschool. The ladies I work with are so fun to be around.

My mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, sister, brother-in-law, niece, nephew and aunt & uncle came over yesterday to celebrate Kaeden's birthday. I always love spending time with my family. We have such a great time together! We ended up having a marshmallow fight with our new miniature marshmallow guns! My sister had to shield her self from my dad's powerful blasts!

NERF Gun Party

We had Kaeden's 8th birthday party yesterday. We invited about 10 of Kaeden's closest friends over for a NERF gun party. All the boys brought their NERF guns and nerf darts. We had 3 dads stay and play too! I have to admit, it was a fun party! The boys were just boys and had a great time. We played capture the flag, having 2 teams (red and blue) and each team had a base. If a kid was hit above the shoulders, they had to go back and touch their base (sawhorse) and then

they were back into the action. If anyone got hit with a dart, they had to go back and touch their base and they were back into play. The object was to try and get the opponents flag without being hit. We used our whole yard, front and back.

Towards the middle of the party we ate and had a break by each boy making miniature marshmallow guns. The boys were awesome. They all helped pick up the marshmallows scattered around the yard. I found the simple directions for the marshmallow guns here. They were about a $1 to make a piece, a perfect take home gift for each friend!
