Mother's Day Tea

It's been a couple weeks since I have posted. Our church hosted a Mother's Day Tea the Saturday before Mother's Day. The ladies who organized it did an amazing job. It was a lot of fun and I was able to bring my girls, my mom and grandma.

a few gifts...

I was spoiled last week on my birthday. My secret prayer partner from church gave me some perfect cooking gifts - Thank you to whomever you are!

The preschoolers and Amy created the most amazing keepsake with all of the kids hand prints and pictures of the kids in it. THANK YOU!

My husband and kids spoiled me too - gift certificate for a pedicure, a couple shirts, a cupcake carrier and two workout dvd's (don't worry, I asked for them!).

My grandma got me a new blender I most desperately needed! Ours was broken and leaked all over. The kids have been wanting to have smoothies and we haven't been able to. Thanks Grandma!

My mom got me a kitchen aid mixer - my first! We (the girls and I) made chocolate chip cookies this afternoon! It was so slick and easy - I love it! Thanks Mom!

Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! It meant a lot!

Wordless Wednesday

A couple friends, my sister and her friend headed up to Jungle Playland last week. It was a lot of fun. Kendyl and I were the only ones from our family that went because it was a school day for Kaeden and Kenna. Kendyl had a blast. Kaeden and Kenna didn't realize we went until they saw the pictures and they were a little mad that we went without them.

Kendyl convinced Amy to go down the fast twisty slide with her! Thanks Amy!

Our Birthday

Kelsey and I celebrated our birthday at our parents house. I was excited to get pictures of us together and of the kids, but my camera battery died and these are the only pictures I was able to get. Kelsey's has pictures on her blog here.




I made Kelsey her favorite cake white cake and buttercream frosting. This is my first cake I really put some thought into decorating. It was a little lopsided, but it tasted good!

I am a little behind on posting. These pictures are from Kenna's actual birthday. We had my parent and grandparents over for cupcakes!
