spring is here

Around here, it can be nice and sunny one day and then next the temp can drop 15 degrees and be a bit chilly again. We enjoyed the lovely evening sunshine tonight and daylight. Our whole family was outside in the cul-de-sac including Krissy, our 1 year old Golden Retriever and Spunky, our extra large cat.

what does Kendyl do during all of our games

During my games and Kaeden and Kenna's games/practices this is what Kendyl does:

She plays and plays and entertains herself!

Check out the form

We had Kaeden's last basketball game on Saturday. It was the first time I took pictures all season. Shawn and I coached his team this year and we had a good time. I am fortunate my husband is really patient and allows me to take charge (kind of my personality - thank you Shawn).

getting the story straight

I have posted several times about Kennadi and her outfits and hair. She doesn't like me to help her. This week she was trying to twist her hair and then put a rubber band in. She was struggling and I asked if I could help and she actually said yes. As I was doing her hair, I told her how nice it was that she let me do her hair. Her quick reply was, " let you help me with my hair." She is extremely independent!

Tooth Fairy

Kenna loves to earn money or shall I say get money in the case of losing her teeth. She has 3 missing teeth on the bottom right now.

She is so me. When I was growing up and my twin sister would have a loose tooth or lose a tooth, I would wiggle my tooth all day and night until that thing came out. I can remember hearing the roots breaking and the pain, but it didn't matter, I just wanted the tooth out, just like my sis.

Cookies

I haven't taken Jenny's cookie decorating class because of Kaeden's basketball games, but I have enjoyed her recipes for sugar cookies and frosting! I made the orange cookies for the 8th grade girls basketball team I coach with their numbers on them. And I made these for the women in my Bible Study on Wednesday nights at church. I don't have any hobbies, so it is kind of fun to do something different even if I make a complete disaster out of my kitchen. I am going to put a kitchen aid mixer on my Christmas List!

Family Gathering

Kenna and my niece, Tatum

Our internet was down for about 6 days, so I am playing catch up.

We get together with my mom's side of the family quite frequently, or shall I say, the months of March through September we see each other a lot. We love to get together when the weather begins to get better and bbq. Last week, my cousin, Laura was the guest of honor. She attends University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and she was home for spring break.

Shawn's Craving

Last Friday night we ate dinner early, we were done eating by 5:00. While I was cleaning up dinner, I noticed Shawn going through the Entertainment book (the book with lot of coupons in it). I asked him what he was doing and he told me he had a craving. uh - oh, what in the world? He never has cravings for specific foods, that's usually me. His craving was for Dairy Queen. Not bad... We headed out and had a good time using 2 coupons and only having to pay for 3 out of the 5 desserts. mmm...

The silly pictures... If any of you are mortified of the Flynn family behavior at a restaurant, I will let you know that nobody was around and the kids were being rather silly... and Shawn!
Look at Kendyl!

I know... gross... food in the teeth!
disgusting!
His eyes were so weird, I had to post this!

the puzzle master

Kendyl is into putting together puzzles. It started about a month ago at preschool when some of her classmates started getting puzzles out. She became interested and now we are doing puzzles quite a bit around our house and at preschool. She is able to do them herself and doesn't like us to help, well, only when she asks for it. It is fun to watch her figure out the pieces with her tongue sticking out as she concentrates. I was vacuuming the other day while she was putting together a puzzle and she said it was too noisy, she couldn't concentrate.
